Last year, we announced in honour of our 150th anniversary that we will make a donation of $150,000 to one charity and 15 donations of $10,000 each to support charitable organizations and causes that are important to our policyholders in the cities and towns where you live. We received numerous suggestions for consideration and all of the money donated in 2024 was to charities and causes by our policyholders.We are pleased to announce the recipient of the $150,000 donation is the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation. It is a charitable foundation supporting Kingston Health Sciences Centre and Providence Care.

The 15 donations of $10,000 were given to the following:

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hastings and Prince Edward Counties
  • Camp Molly Fire Services Camp
  • Centre Hastings People Helping People
  • Heart of Hastings Hospice in Madoc
  • Homes for Heroes
  • Inclusive Playground Project in Kingston
  • Killaloe Community Resource Centre
  • Kingston 4 Paws
  • Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation in Napanee
  • Pregnancy and Family Care of Quinte West
  • Recreation Outreach Centre in Picton
  • Rural Frontenac Community Services in Sharbot Lake
  • Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre in Napanee
  • Francis Memorial Hospital in Barry’s Bay
  • Warkworth Bridge Hospice.

The Board was impressed with the number and quality of charities and causes put forth by our policyholders for consideration and decided to donate $500 to each of the charities.

We believe it is important to be a community-oriented company and throughout the year we supported a number of community events and organizations that make a difference in the areas where our policyholders live. The proceeds from our 29th annual charity golf tournament were donated to Sunny Days Adult Program. Other Organizations we were pleased to support during the year were: Limerick Fire Department, Farm Town Park, Department of Illumination, Keep Kids Warm, Coe Hill Fair, Alzheimer Society, Almost Home, Inclusion Northumberland Gold Tournament, Inverary Youth Activities, Rotary Club of Kingston, Night in White Garden Party for YMCA, Campbellford Fair, Fairways for Fractures, Hospice Prince Edward Golf Tournament, The Children’s Foundation Kid’s Can’t Wait Radiothon.

Agriculture is at the core of mutual insurance and in honour of our agricultural roots, we make donations to various agricultural organizations and sponsor several agricultural awards. 4 H is an organization we support because it builds leaders in our communities.
