Mutual Support Initiative

To celebrate our company’s 146 th anniversary of providing insurance protection to businesses, farms and homes in Eastern Ontario, Bay of Quinte Mutual Insurance, together with our reinsurance partner, Farm Mutual Re have donated $146,000 to be shared among thirty-nine charities and organizations in Eastern Ontario.  Our local donations are a part of the Mutual Support Initiative being sponsored by the farm mutual insurance companies across Canada.

The donations focus on two impacts COVID 19 has had on organizations and charities in our communities.  First, to show our appreciation and support to organizations helping those impacted by COVID 19.  Second, to provide financial support to organizations in our community that are no longer able to operate or fund raise due to the pandemic.  The charities and organizations include food banks, 4 H clubs, woman’s support organizations, children’s camps, organizations who help children with special needs, hospice, arts centres, and organizations that support homeless individuals.

Board Chair, Steve Raymond said “Bay of Quinte Mutual recognizes COVID 19 has affected many in our communities and now that we are in the second wave, the need to support these organizations so they can continue to do their important work is now greater than ever.”
