Bay of Quinte Mutual gives back

Bay of Quinte Mutual Insurance Co. takes great pride in being an active contributor to our communities.  Neighbours helping neighbours is one of the founding values of Bay of Quinte Mutual when it was formed in 1874.  Our donations focus on supporting charities and projects valued by our policyholders.

Agriculture is at the core of mutual insurance and the reason Bay of Quinte Mutual was formed.  Today, that industry continues to be an important part of our company.  In honour of our agricultural roots, we make donations to various agricultural organizations and sponsor several agricultural awards.  4 H is an organization we support because it builds leaders in our communities.  Money was donated to Farm Town Park in Stirling to ensure it continues to showcase the culture in rural Ontario and the importance of agriculture.  We are proud to be the sponsor of the Farmers Wellness Program for the Prince Edward Federation of Agricultural that allows its members in the agricultural industry access to wellness programs at no cost.

We believe it is important to be a community oriented company and throughout the year we supported a number of community events and organizations that make a difference in the areas where our policyholders live.  The proceeds from our 28 th annual charity golf tournament were donated to Kingston 4 Paws.  Together with our mutual friends, brokers and business partners we were thrilled to present Kingston 4 Paws with a cheque in the amount of $12,500.  The Campbellford Memorial Hospital, Keep Kids Warm, Hospice Prince Edward, Almost Home in Kingston, the Umbrella Project, Inverary Youth Activities, Alzheimer Hastings Prince Edward and Inclusion Northumberland were among other organizations we were pleased to support during the year.
